Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is proceeding slightly ahead of schedule

Construction of the 304-kilometer Kyrgyz section of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway has already begun in all directions, reports a Dunyo news agency correspondent.

According to the Kyrgyz national news agency Kabar, construction is being carried out slightly ahead of schedule.

As the general director of the state enterprise “National Company “Kyrgyz Temir Zholu”” Azamat Sakiev told the agency, work is currently underway on the construction of tunnels, bridges, roadbeds and other infrastructure facilities.

The head of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu also said that during the implementation of the project, special attention is paid to preserving the environment. According to him, the routes are laid taking into account environmental protection zones, and difficult sections pass through tunnels to minimize the impact on nature. In addition, Azamat Sakiev noted that the implementation of the project will allow Kyrgyzstan to expand its transit capabilities.

Let us recall that on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan, the Ministers of Transport of the two countries, Ilkhom Makhkamov and Talantbek Soltoboev, made a jointtripalong the entire route and got acquainted with the progress of work at the main facilities of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway being built in Kyrgyzstan.”
