The Russian marketplace Wildberries plans to open a major logistics center in Uzbekistan by the end of 2026, said Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
On December 3, the 26th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Uzbek Commission on economic cooperation took place in Tashkent. The parties discussed partnerships in social-economic, energy, and cultural-humanitarian sectors. Uzbekistan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev.
According to the Russian side, in 2024, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by more than 5%, exceeding $10 billion (according to data from the State Statistics Committee — $11.63 billion). In the first nine months of this year, trade volume increased by another 8%. The portfolio of joint investment projects totals about $55 billion.
Denis Manturov stated that the number of resident companies in joint industrial parks in Chirchik and Jizzakh exceeds 30 from different countries worldwide.
In addition, energy cooperation between the countries is developing in several areas: supply of Russian energy resources (gas, oil, petroleum products), implementation of projects in geological exploration and mining, as well as hydro and nuclear energy.

The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that last year the volume of Uzbek-made products sold on Wildberries amounted to $605 million. The Russian marketplace has become the largest distribution network for Uzbek goods, he emphasized.
"The company's plans include building the largest logistics center in the republic with an area of 100,000 sq. m. Investment is estimated at over 11 billion rubles ($142 million — Spot note), and the number of new jobs will be about 7,500. The phased commissioning of the warehouse complex is planned by the end of next year," said Manturov.
Following the event, Jamshid Khodjaev and Denis Manturov signed the protocol of the 26th meeting of the intergovernmental commission, as well as a roadmap for strengthening interregional cooperation between the two countries for 2025–2030. In their presence, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Agency for the Development of Light Industry of Uzbekistan and the SME Corporation.
