According to him, in April of this year, a memorandum on the creation of the EIB representative office in Uzbekistan was signed at the Samarkand summit. This step opened the doors for closer interaction and new investment capabilities.

“We finally signed an agreement with the Government of Uzbekistan. It will allow us to open the office by the end of this year, ”said Montuzzi.

The bank plans to focus on the sustainable development of infrastructure, including transport and water economy.
