Uzbekistan intends to study the issue of organizing production of electric vehicles, Umidjan Salimov, Chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat, said.

The head of Uzavtosanoat stated that a special group was created in the Innovation Center at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

This group is studying introduction and organization of production of electric vehicles. A concept for the production of electric vehicles is being developed.

The company is also negotiating with potential partners that produce electric vehicles.

Salimov noted that negotiations are underway with the Uzbekenergo company to create the infrastructure necessary for electric vehicles.
