Uzbekistan plans to launch regular railway transportation to East and Central Europe

This is stated in the plan of practical events given in the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“To open new export markets, the government is instructed to negotiate and make proposals for launching regular railway flights intended for freight transportation to Eastern and Central European countries,” the document said.

The deadline for execution of the order is April 2026.

In July 2025, the Chairman of the Association of Processors and Exporters of Fruit and Rights of Uzbekistan, Sardor Abbaskhanov, proposed to diversify the geography of the supply of fruits and vegetables, organizing regular railway transportation to Poland and Lithuania.
